Industry Leaders Following CadRam Acquisition
We are now the industry’s leading supplier of decorative techniques for flat glass following the acquisition of CadRam, the manufacturer of innovative resin-based systems for producing decorative glass. The investment brings together exciting CadRam products like the Colorspray and Decorative Resin systems and RegaLead’s huge range of overlays, bevels, films and self-adhesive lead products, to create a truly unrivalled collection - all under one roof.
The CadRam decorative resin system is based around a range of high quality, colour stable and pigmented lead-free resins that are machine dispensed to create incredibly detailed and cost effective works of decorative art. As the manufacturer of both the kit and the resins, CadRam is the only company to offer a custom built service to individual specification.
In addition to an extensive range of outline relief colours, the system uses an infill colouring system that creates an infinite palette of colours giving real ‘life’ to any design. Although the resins are primarily designed to be applied to flat glass surfaces, they can also be used on any non-porous surface, such as ceramic tiles and even on metal surfaces. The wide range of compatible products and the speed and accuracy of the resin dispensers, make the system ideal for many decorative surface applications, including glazed doors and fanlights, windows, shower screens, mirrors, ceiling light panels, glazed partitions and advertising signs.
Having gained CadRam’s expertise in manufacturing both the materials and the machinery, we now have the in-house technical expertise to develop and market machines for other specialist flat glass techniques, such as sandblasting and digital printing, opening up a whole new world of business opportunities for RegaLead and its customers. The development of these new technologies is already underway and our range will be launched at Glasstec this September.
RegaLead has operated as a UK distributor for CadRam for nearly ten years and recognises the huge potential for CadRam products, not just in the UK but also internationally, says Guy Hubble. "CadRam already has a strong user base in areas such as the Middle East and Italy which is complementary to our own and we will now be looking to build on this network. This acquisition brings exciting new market opportunities for some of our existing overseas agents to become distributors for the CadRam product in addition to the RegaLead range."
