The latest investment by RegaLead is a new Natgraph UV drier, recently commissioned to produce high definition textured films to simulate patterned glass. The development will allow the manufacturer to utilise the latest solvent free ink systems which reduce solvent emissions, whilst allowing increases in film output at Regalead’s Manchester site.
The combination of high build etched and translucent UV inks will provide many opportunities to simulate versions of traditional glue chip glass and other abstract patterns, for decorative glass producers.
The company report strong growth for their Stained Glass Art Film in 2007 and expect significant business development in 2008 in this area of their operation. David Rabone, Regalead’s MD, comments “Although Regalead did not commence film printing production until 2002, the progressive development of output and quality under the experienced management of our print manager Heather Haigh has been a very positive aspect of our overall business performance.
We intend to continue this development by interaction with our global customer base in the next few years.”
