RegaLead and UAP Exchange Brands
UAP and RegaLead exchange Brands.
In a move that will surprise many in the Industry, UAP Limited and RegaLead Limited have agreed a reciprocal
exchange of Brands in order that both companies may concentrate on their own areas of expertise.
UAP Limited owns the Glassmaster range of
decorative glass products, covering bevels, film, adhesive and more recently the new Lead machine. This product range has been around for the past 6
years or so and has grown to be one of the largest brands in that market sector.
RegaLead launched their Signature Hardware brand in 2005,
and have gained a reputation for high quality products at competitive prices. The Signature brand covers a wide range of hardware from numerals and
knockers to Letterplates.
David Jennings of UAP says, “UAP and RegaLead have been competing with each other over the past few years, and
we have gained a respect for each others product ranges. In the past year or so UAP have concentrated more on our core Hardware, Locks and Tools
sector rather than decorative glass, which seems to be becoming more specialised as time goes by. Entering into a reciprocal deal with Regalead made
a lot of commercial sense, and allows both of our companies to concentrate on what they are good at.”
David Rabone of RegaLead says
“we have since the Cadram acquisition in December 2009 become clearly focussed on developing sales and our product portfolio for the European
flat glass industry. It made sense to explore with UAP the possibility of a reciprocal arrangement and I am very pleased that David Jennings was
receptive to our approach. RegaLead will continue to market Signature branded Glazing Options for the Composite Door market as a part of our
decorative glass component range.”
