Each year, Regalead partner, TGK runs an art glass competition based on a theme and this year's was "Light and Shadow". Some incredible pieces were submitted from around the world using a variety of art glass techniques but we were delighted that one of the winners was a long time overlay user and good customer of both TGK and RegaLead, Daniel Neghru of Romania.

Sales and Marketing Director
Despite the global economic crisis, we are delighted to report that during 2009 RegaLead's sales were up in most markets worldwide and this trend is continuing into 2010. I believe our resilience to the downturn demonstrates the enduring appeal of decorative glass and how this added value product can be used successfully to boost sales of doors and windows, making it an especially useful tool in today's exceptionally competitive and challenging marketplace.
Even though the window market in 2009 saw a 25% drop in sales on 2008, the decorative glass market continued to grow. That's why at RegaLead we are committed to maximising this growth potential for our customers with exciting product developments, marketing initiatives - and some new faces - which we'll be revealing in this latest edition of Leading Light.
Our big news in December 2009 was the acquisition of the CadRam business. CadRam has been a key partner of RegaLead for many years and we have exhibited and developed distribution channels together across the world. We see the coming together of our two businesses as a logical progression of a highly successful working relationship that will bring benefits all round.
2009 was also the year that the composite door market finally delivered on its product and pricing promises and has experienced further growth in 2010. As the market has matured, sales are starting to grow outside social housing sector and into the retail sector - and RegaLead is leading the way in this burgeoning market with the Signature Glazing Options - a unique decorative glazing package for composite door companies.
Amidst all these new market opportunities, we've not forgotten our traditional customers. That's why we've also expanded our popular Creative Options concept with consumer-style brochures and a website to support and develop our important core business.
